Thread: Does Block work at all ??

I am only 0/0/3/2 Pikeman. In a night of running Quenker missions, going back through the combat log, there's not one single time where i "blocked" damage. I know that i still get half the damage from a block, but there wasn't any. I get the " blah, blah misses you" stuff, but that's melee defense. Will it say "blah, blah hits you for 100 damage, but you block it" ?? And i don't remember seeing the "block" floaty over my head either.

Block is incorrectly reported in your combat log as "counterattack". Every time you counterattack in your log you're actually blocking (and anyone near you will see you blocking in their log). I've never seen the +BLOCK+ either.
Aside from that, block is "working as intended" even though it allows 50% damage through.

You know when it's a block, because it says you counterattack in white, then you get spam saying that your armor protected damage w/o getting notice first that you got hit for damage. So, basically, block=counterattack+armor absorb. I'm a carbineer, too, so I'm used to just seeing counterattack, so that's how I can tell the difference.

I think counterattack reads something like 'you shrug it off and counterattack' whereas blocks reads only as 'you counterattack' then it will display the damage that your armor deflected.

I've also noticed a "block" animation when your toon blocks something. It definitely works when you use COB.
