Thread: Help Me With My Template Options!

Hi, I'm sorry I notice that a lot of these posts pop up and most of you help. I recently became master pikeman and I am like others looking for my secondary professions.
I am currently:
Master Pikeman
Master Swordsman
Master Brawler
TK 4/0/0/0
Fencer 1/0/04
I am gonna drop swordsman for sure and TK. I am considering going Master Pikeman/Master Brawler/Master Rifleman with Novice Medic. There is also the option of going Master Pikeman/ Fencer 4/0/3/0/ Doctor 4/0/4/0. Then I can do the Master Pikeman/Master Brawler/Master Fencer/ Novice Medic. I jsut dont know. I like pikeman a lot but I cant seem to do well in PvP, in PvE i do fairly well. I am in a PvP guild and I wish to do much better, All help that can be contirbuted is very much appreciated.

well i was a tkm/rifle fencer 0440 with novice medic and decided i would make a long anticipated jump to pikeman. I should master pikeman the next evening i get in game. Currently i'm planning on going master pike/rifle/brawler and taking tk0003 to cap melee/ranged defense (and still get to meditate cos it looks cool 
.
I think the master brawler option looks very useful for pikemen (extra speed etc) + intim2 and warcry2 (i'm hoping) will level out the fact that pikeman get not a lot of toughness and still take damage from block... i'm hoping the cone effect delay on warcry2 will be useful to fight multiple foe's - like delay them all and deal with em one at a time... I just hope it works!

i was fencer rifleman 4301 tka novice medic
now im pikeman rifleman 0040 pistol 0040 medic med use 40 stim e's own

master rifle/pike, fencer 0440 with novice medic would be awesome - got some good defences atleast! or drop medic for more fencer 4440 for example 
Hmm - might try that out if my template doesn't work so well...

How good are the def total as Master Pike/ Rifleman I am wondering if the master brawler is worth it or if I should go farther into medic/fencer def. also will I be needing to spend crap loads of money on rifle/pike accuracy/speed tapes. Cause I feel if I was master pikeman/rifleman I would dizzy/kd mind hit(rifle) and probably add mind poison/fire DoT.

--Not the best in PvP (state defenses are above average to really good)
--Capped in Melee/Ranged Defense
--Really good in PvE (cept against Elders, or 100% Kinetic Mobs)

All depends, if you are in a PvP guild then whats your support look like? Do you have dedicated medics that will be out in the feild with you? From a rebel point of view swords is always helpfull to assist in dropping AT-ST's, from any point of view swords is great for bringing down turrets.
From a PvP standpoint your asking a question that no one here knows the answer to, because no one knows how to template you to help you become a better rounded soldier in your squad. If you have people that lean towards meele, I would suggest rifles to assist in bringing down kiters and CM's that are acctually aware of their battlefeild. If you already have enough ranged personel I would stay swords. If you have enough swordsmen, I would take medic so you can retain your footing if seperated from your squad.
The point is not to make you better, the point is to fill in anything your squad is missing. It's the kind of thing that makes the most hardened people take up BE.

ok I'll rephrase this a bit,In PvP yea I have dedicated medics in the guild, what about a1v1 duel, how well would I do in that. I realize taking on the FOTM professions is a bit difficult but it can be done right if played well. Thanks everyone for you hlp and continue to post plz.

Well, currently... I'm Master Pikeman/Master Swordsman, 0/2/0/3 Rifleman (and working up)...
With a standard NS Lance (dual DoT) and a reasonable LVA you can annoy a fencer long enough to drop them if you have decent armour (although it's down to the DoT's) and it's a long fight.
If they have Doc however... there's not a great deal you can do about it though... apart from try and keep them KD/Dizzy'd while your disease/poison are ticking away.

For 1 on 1 it would be in your best interest to keep master brawler imo. Although you can succumb to a strong DoT, the medic can help out. In exchange for the doc skills you get intimidate2, lunge2 to help curb damage and bring down kiters a lil easier. Not to mention your defenses will be higher. Just be aware a strong dot can kill you, specially a nice fire.

/bumping for knowledge. All I need is upsides and downsides of each template, and other template options as well. I know the new nerfing of DoT weaps suck but I still like pike so I need some help.

Mine currently is:
Master Rifle
Master Fencer
4004 Pike
Novice Medic
Might do master pike soon as pvp is fubar so I may just start pveing.
