Really? That's amazing. Another master pikeman on corbantis? Funny we've never met.
Well luda, since all that defense stacking of yours is gonna be gone, and i may have chance at you with my pike (accuracy mods yippee) do you think we'll do better or worse against other brawlers? One good thing is we won't have to worry about uber defense templates (/pointat ludakrishna) however we'll have to rely and the terrible defenses that pikeman are stuck with.
Hey come to dantooine tonight and i'll show you those nightsister lances. Funny thing about those, i used one and didn't kill anyone but i pissed a lot of group tef'ing rebels off with a disease area attack. LOL.

Although I'm only about halfway to master.
I too find myself really good at PVE and not so good at PVP. I have to run after them to much and when I finally do catch up, I miss. Although it's gotten better since I got area Knockdown and area dizzy. I've actually managed to hit once or twice in PVP now, lol.
That said, I find pikeman to be a blast and intend to master. If we get the fix and it still doesn't work so great, I may have to drop for another profession, since my PA has been doing a lot of PVP lately. But it's going to be a melee profession. I find melee to be much more fun then just standing and shooting at something.

Well, my alt. is a holo-pikeman. From everything I'd read before picking up a pike, I thought it was going to be a long road to hoe (a hoe would be considered in the pike family, I'm thinking). Well, I was very wrong. Granted, I have buffing support from my main and the resources to get good equipment, but so does everyone else in one way or another, for the most part. Totally raw players, yeah, it's tough of course.
So, anyway. I flew up the Brawler Pike skills so fast I didn't even have time to look for better weapon types before I was qualified for the next. I use a long axe, even though the wisdom here says not, but have not found it too difficult. Once I hit Novice, I went to Dath to go after bigger game. Solo'ed at first, and tore up everything the terminal would give me. Got Sweep first, then focused big time on combat xp to get the 2nd tier of the support line for the accuracy mod. I'm at 3/0/3/3 and solo giant baz nitch lairs, which is the highest I can get the terminals to let me have. I have no other combat skills, by the way, just a random scattering across the Novice professions, including some medic. Whenever I can find some rancors to play with, I can solo them as long as I don't do anything stupid, like Special-spam myself to death. Except Bulls, that disease they throw almost always hits my mind.
Haven't had any PvP experience, but I can tell that I would get my butt kicked fairly regularly because we're too slow. But for PvE, I'm having a blast.
I went out hunting with Mavil on Dath last week when the server crashed and rolled us back about 2 hours (which was fine, since I got worked by some nightsister outcasts). Luda trained me once too.
Too bad defensive stacking is going away, does that mean that stuff from the brawler tree will also go away? I am going up TKA to get the meditation line since that or doc seems to be the only way to gain anything from another class now...
I dropped master rifleman (the uberest l337est profession in the universe) after earning it when it was terrible to go all melee PVE.
Pve pikeman is pretty good I think, and I seem to do better against groups than I would have thought.
A couple of days ago, I was able to kill someone's bike before a combat medic mind poisoned me and headshotted me just as I got into lunge range... Great fun

I mean that I earned master rifleman when it was terrible. And now I am going all melee for PVE...
I was suprised too. I don't know if it was just her though. I managed to beat her twice when she was fully buffed and fully armored with my sword prior to that.Needless to say the second duel she got the first warcry and it was lights out for me.
if any of you ever want to go kill some nightsisters again let me know.

Somehow i managed to get the first warcry2 in then i lunged and kept her down, i then managed to land a few dizzies. Once she started the whole routine of getting up and falling i warcry2'd again which kept her down for the fight. I also had some bleeds in there somewhere
I watched that duel, nice job man. I was really surprised that you were able to get another WC2 off on her before she could get up, it must have been the dizzy.
