Thread: how do pikeman do against sbd

i have been swordsman and tkm but i was thinking of going pikeman because it looks fun. i don't really care about pvp,and most things r easy to kill in pve except those high ham imp npc's on the corvette and all the battle droids. so i was just wondering how well pikeman does against battle droids, i don't expect to solo a sbd but i was just wondering how much better it is than other prof against them.

well it is fairly good because with a descent vibro lance that does elec damage it will damage a sbd because they are weak to electricity,

could a pikeman solo one of those 250k ham imp npc's on the corvette in a decent amount of time?

with a doc healing me, yes I can.
takes me about 10 minutes, and I lose a crap load of condition on my lance.
so I don't do it any more.

The problem with pikeman is that we take alot of damage. Block is only a damage reduction, so expect your armor to drop fast also makes soloing those high ham critters more interesting. however if you can damage it, you can solo it at the moment givin enough time and the right equipment. Pikeman/doc (me
on vette takes wild damage from ranged so only one npc at a time or its probably lights out. a ranged prof/pike would probably do well tho.

I got a friend who could solo em. Got like 4030 doc/mpike/some defense from fencer I think. Full 90% armor and speed/acc capped with a real nice vibro lance. It's doable.

A 800 damage VL works very well, but it still wials on the condition of the lance, so I basicly avoid it.
