is it worth staying on, i mean is it expected to change at all so we are better equiped or is it worth me looking into another proffesion.

I really did want to stay a long term pikeman but these things have made me feel much more saddened when playing and im sorry if these facts anger neone and im sure ill get flamed saying we can be just as good with the right investment but Dots on lances i feel just arent as effective as people make it out to be, my highest a 240 strength mind VL still doesnt allow me to win.

1) fencer target health - what a joke

2) swordsman are not better by a long shot. I wasHS b4 i was pike and you cant compare. get a uber ackley Powerhammer and your still only hittinwith a750 max dmg hammer. thats at 5.4 spd as well!!. Ive got a 900dmg LVA and am far better than what i was with HS. If you dont have a weapon this good a suggest savin your lollipops till you can buy one off the forums. Granted HS was good for Elders and pike cant really do much againt them. But now elders a pretty much untouchable for a melee class.

3) tka has good defence that is true but whip out your%80 kin armour and thr goes their effectiveness in PVP

To answer your question in my opinion Pike is the best melee class. I dont care if i rely on looted weapons coz its all part of the game. When the comp nerf comes in pike will be even better with the high dmg weapons. Stick it out and if we get screwed in the patch then both you and i will take the leap of faith and follow the rest of the sheep with Rifle/Cm

"no extra crap" isnt the whole point the fact the Pike does have "xtra crap". Also i have never seen any powerhammer above 1000 that wasnt a exceptional. Blow for Blow with Pikes weapons to HS we own.

i have seen a ph above 1k dmg that wasn't exceptional, and if you say if it can't be exceptional, thats xtra, so why can't they use it to pwn in damage if we can? if ppl loot uber powerhammers they are generally better, and they can get ackley bones to enhance them, and also if you're comparing the two professions on a 1 : 1 bases w/ no xtra speed, looted weaponry, 2h swords WILL always be better
