He made a post titled "Worst Profession ever" (that was without the spelling mistakes, amazing). The best pvp'ers on our server Bria (which let me tell you isnt noobs) can completely dissolve anyone and their pikemen... sure they use DOTS... but they still win and thats what matters at the end of the duel, who won. Just a few nights ago on a raid a pikeman was able to HOLD OFF (I didnt say win) 10+ ppl. If you think pikeman stinks at PVP this isnt the profession for you, go do TKA, any noob can do it.

....and most noobs still lose.
Sorry, long term pikeman here (Bria) and don't use DoTs. Do fine, only consistant problem is taking down a stacked fencer. Even then with stun armour its down to who's buffs go first, if you can actually stay entertained for that long.
Pikeman isn't badin PvP at all, just have lean the weakness of the opponent and counter them.

I dont know about your sever, but Starsider pvp is so damn powerful knietic is frickin useless. I hit for 200 damage and lower with a 1k lva on stacked melees, which is all melee. So wewt.

Hint: It isn't your Pikeman skills that let you hold off ten people.
Here's something you can all try, and then make your determination of how good Pikeman is for PvP. Get buffed and duel a TKM, Swordsman and Fencer, all buffed aswell. The hitch? Don't use armor, don't use DOTs. Hell, if you want to get a really accurate representation, don't use looted weapons.
As was said, any noob can stack DOTs. Its just the experienced players that remember to heal themselves while waiting for the DOT to work.

part of the reason pikes is good against groups of people......we have almost nothing but AOEs.....that they dont. please name another melee proff with an AOE dizzy or AOE KD? it does work wonders at times. when we go on patrols (we are stormtroopers) I am not the main damge dealer, or the main tank. but I can keep people on the ground during the fight. add in a good DOT weapon and do and AOe with it....only problem is I am slow I need to get some speed tapes

BTW, a friend of mine has a pistol 750 mind poison, I've seen quite a few 2 handed dot weapons, 1 handed dot weapons, a mind fire scatter pistol, rifles with mind poisons , hell I got shot with a tusken rifle that had 890 health poison, dots are not just a pikeman commodity.
But this game has always had 2 types of people, the ones that embrace what is possible, and the ones who cry because they can't/won't do it themselves.

I was about to post the same thing Equilibrium did until I saw that he beat me to it. With my 221-1132 LVA the most I've hit for in pvp was 172 I think. It's sad. ~Tyrande

i find it humorous that pikeman are talkin smack about dot stackers because thats all we are good for. seriously, if your not using dots, pikeman is trash for pvp, whatever noobs u are woopin without using dots u probably shouldnt be braggin about it. pikeman fire is gonna become the new cm of pvp so prepare to be bashed by everyone, no need to bash each other becuase if your not using it in pvp then your just not going to be as effective, period

We aren't killing anyone without DoTs, that's the problem.
