All,
Quick question. I've started to PvP and it seems that quite a few people do not wear Leg Armor while PvPing because attacks seem to either hit the boots, chest, gloves and helmet.
Does the pikeman leg hit target the legs of an opponent or is it just a regular attack which attacks the action pool.
I thought of this last night and have not had a chance to test it.
Thank you,

i believe it attacks randomly between either the legs or the feet, doing action damage in the process

Leg hit does hit the legs.
However due to the way armor works, if you have boots on those will actually cover your legs as well without the pants. Or if you have pants on, the pants will cover your feet if you don't have boots. So for sake of argument yes leghit hits the legs, in some odd instances it may hit your boots which as far as the game is concerned is pretty much your legs anyway.

So pretty much there is no benefit to using leg hit to damage someone with out armor pants on since the boots act as armor for pants.
It is more of an armor issue than the special is broken, etc..
Thanks everyone.

So, what you're really wanting to know is whether Leg Hit targets the thigh (protected by pants) and/or the calf (protected by boots).
The answer is ... I dunno. Not something I've actually thought much about. Good question, though.

Yea that is exactly what I was wondering if it actually targets the legs and not just a random part of the body and does action damage. I'll try to test it out tonight and see what happens.
Thanks,

Not sure about the leg hit thing but I have experienced an issue that I noticed. I bought a full set 75% Kinetic Ubese Helmet, Jacket,Bracers,Pants I didn't by the boots for some reason.
Went out doing missions was in a solo mission so was fighting Mokks and such. I couldn't understand but I was taking on heavy Action Damage and was getting upset as I thought I was protected. I purchased the boots and had no problems with heavy action damage from those mobs.
I never tried without pants on but I know the boots definitely Protect the action pool.

leg hit just attacks the action pool, u can wear boots gloves chest helm in pvp and pve and u rarely get hit in the other areas. I have found that the more elite npcs/creatures (gorex elders) do go for unarmored parts though

It was stated in a thread on the AS board stickied awhile back that all you need for complete protection is Helm chest gloves and boots. There was even a comment from the devs saying that it was working as intended( we have all heard that one before) I will try and dig up that thread again.

This is incorrect, i dont wear armor pants but only boots, and its a 50/50.....sometimes my boots will protect my action pool doin minimal damage, and sometimes my action will get hit for max damage..and yes i check the combat logs..

Are you sure that you are not hit by a damage type that you are vulnerable to (stun if comp)? NPC sometimes use stun damage weapons (crazed genosians but several NPCs now use stun batons). I have been hunting Krayts with only boots and I am sure I would have noticed getting hit without protection :-). However, when in geo lab w/o stun armor I get hit real hard from time to time.

I tried it as well against nightsisters before they got their powers back. I was trying this armor setup for the first time when I got jumped on my an Elder group (protectors, spellweavers, elder, you know what I mean) when I noticed I was taken some serious action damage, since I had brand new 80% kinetic boots they couldn't be the problem.
Sometimes it seems to work but the times it doesn't hurt really badly.
