I am thinking about going pikeman for PVE and how do you guys do in PVE etc how does it compare to swordsmen..... btw doctor will be my other prof

against a group of enemies is the Pikeman better then the swprdman. The pikeman have area KD, dizzy and stun, which makes a world of difference. Against a single target is swordman a bit stronger with hit3.

I actually just finished mastering pikeman immediately after i was a master swordsman for a while, i gotta say, against critters, swords has a slight advantrage, not too much of an advantage, but noticeable. against NPC's on the other hand...good lord is pikeman better than swords, area dizzy/stun followed by an area KD can really save your butt in a pinch!

My alt is a master pikeman that is prolly 95% PvE (to collect meat for me, the crafter :smileyvery-happy
and 5% PvP
and 5% PvPHere is what he uses on a normal basis for PvE (unless he's grinding another prof for the badge... doing CH right now :smileymad

I pretty much agree with this. Swordsmen have a definite advantage against creatures and high-level NPCs (that have high resistance to states). Pikemen have superior dizzy/kd for taking down NPCs.

Pikeman seems to be a perfect match for Janta and Mokk missions on Dantooine.. Just nail the lair with area Dizzy a few times while drawing in the bastids... then do area KD.... then finish them out while the whole time nailing the lair... YAWWWNN
