Thread: What is your favorite thing about the pikeman profession?

So what is your favorite thing about the pikeman profession?
For me I mostly enjoy the area attacks as well as the look of the attacks. There is something about the attack stance of a pikeman that looks incredibly awesome to me. This is a great profession in that you can use pretty much every attack. They all have a use and someone that truly knows each hit has a great advantage.

I think for most its the dots and acess to uber 1000+ dmg weps but thats just me.. I havent went pike yet but its so tempting

oh no IMO dots are evil and stupid. Most pikeman who are only in it for the dots will move on the the next profession they can whore to make them feel more powerful than the next person.

I hate DOTs too but sadly in pvp at the moment they're almost necessary, so I admit to using them myself. Even if I had the money to pick up a sweet damage pike, I'd be outbid instantly by one of the three or four people that seem to own the Radiant trade forums (really, go look, it's sad).

i just picked up a 966 non pu LVA that goes to like 1150 or so with a power up and i havent even got to test it out rofl how uber is it?

I love pikeman just b/cause it is socool. . . .from the animations, to the weapons themselves....I like surprising people in duels,. . fighting defense stacker swordsman and winning. . . .jsut everything about the prof. . . and i despise DOTs, , , but do use them...........

I went pike after going TKM because I loved the thought of Area dizzykd. now that I have it I love it. Pvp and PvE lol. You find out who is/isn't a defense stacker real quick.

i like some of the attacks the aoe is nice but one cant deny that with 80 comp amor dots are neccesity i love using my 500s action fire then switching over tot 1100dmg lva and poping a dkd on them and action hit 3 for the win!! i think if they nerfed amor down to factional amor states that pvp with no dots would be possible the only time u can pvp with out dots is agianst jedi seeing as how pike is broken dmg wise (ie swordsman head hit 3 outdmg my leg ht 3?!?!) plus the ap2 on lva's is nice and i agree the animations rock!! i have been pike/doc since pub9 and love it makes it fun when u get bored of pvp on the jedi just switch over to the pike/doc and let the good times role!!

area dizzy and area KD where a bonus, that i did'nt realise pikeman had before i got the skills lol.
i mainly chose pikeman because of the kewl animations and because i have started taking more of an interest in PvP and was told by a few people that pikes in PvP is awesome.
