More new weapons have been added for the CU here
There are 5 new weapons for pikeman. Finaly getting some love. /cheer

dont want to sound mean, but we have known about these for almost a week. . .
and IMO they need to make some original weapions, not stick 2 already existing weapon back to back in a vain attempt to please us............

A weapon's a weapon, it deosn't matter what it looks like.
Sure, visuals are always nice, and having a pike that looks nice like the EL is always a plus, but that takes a large amount of time to complete.
But at least it's something, would you have been happy with only getting one weapon? Probably not.

In the next Star Wars movie coming up, there are polearms that can block lightsabers, i think its called "energy staffs" or something. Are any of the new weapons going have that ability?

Doubtful. But if it were true every single melee player in the game will drop their temp and pick up pikes. Pikes is going to be incredibly better because of this because it will have at least 5 different damage types(hopefuly if our guesses are right) makeing pikeman have great abilities at tanks because of the diversity of their weapons' damage types.

just so u know, the pike versions of all those weapons have been in the .tre files for a long time, infact, the pike weapons were the originals...they just broke em in half and called em swords

Man, you've developed a bitter attitude lately. What happened to the old VacaXXX?
Personally, I'm thrilled to finally get to use the Ewok lance (now Cryo Lance) and broken Gungan lance (now electric polearm). In fact, I'm thrilled by the simple idea that when I see other pikemen running around some of them might not be holding a LVA. Variety is what keeps things interesting, and the LVA is our missionary position.

Same here. Though I also often run around with a reinforced combat staff.
It used to be a rarity to see someone holding an LVA. Now it's so common it's boring.

i'm pretty sure these weapons will be realesed about the time the armor gets nerfed/upgraded, so that there is never an always obvious choice which weapon to carry around.... atleast in pvp, as to which weapon is the best fit in certain situations.....a little strategy never hurt anyone, i for one will bekinda excited to see these new weapons come out...... i just hope my'precious' weapons that i've worked oh so hard to get dont get nerfed or washed out to beingjust ok in pvp/pve. some would argue that they should be, but i'm also willing to betthe same people who argue that havn't spent the time i have in order to earn these weapons

The uber weapons which you have taken the time to earn will still be a force to be reckoned with, just not as much as they once were. More than likely these uber DoT weapons floating around will end up getting downgraded. As for the damage intensive pikes, those will probably remain a useful asset.
