Thread: All melee range and serverside latency issues
Another thread to bring to the devs attention that continued decrease to our range is painful when the server cannot update everyone to within 1m range. How this affects melee - Even if you use burstrun to catch a ranged person/mob you don't want to use lunge2 because it does no damage and screws you out of a sweep for pikeman. If you use lunge1 a commando, although doing melee based damage with ranged weps, still shoot in prone/kneeling, so this is worthless. If you do manage to kd or posture a ranged person/thing/mob/droidekia you only get a couple hits on them and the damage you do is a joke now. I hate Lok by the way.
Proposed fix for this is all melee need a 10m hit radius to even stand a chance outside of a building. This selective application of realisim has got to stop, it's all or nothing. If we have to increase damage on fire because it's so so painfull then we should also realize that a guy running witha flamethrower is not going to burst run, he's not going to do any running period without burning the crap out of him/her self.
10m for all melee is a must, that or fixing server side latency but I'm not holding my breath on the later of the two.
