do weaponsmiths make the basic lances?
whats some good kills for getting the level 3/4 polearm and novice pikeman?
i've read that composite is good to wear, is no armor a bad idea?
any other help would be appreciated

Weaponsmiths make Lances, Vibrolances and Long Vibro Axes, Engineers can make staffs. Metal staff can't be made ATM.
Considering you'll do ridiculously little damage, kill yourself with HAM costs, and have no utility abilities- yeah sure wear armor, whatever floats your boat kid.
Just my two bits from a Master Pike to a newbie, try Swordsman if your determined to go Brawler- or be smart and go marksman. =)
