Arethe lance & LVA in the wrong spot ?

The lance should be where it is. However, debate on the LVA has been ongoing.

Many believe that, like the heavy swordsman, that their hardest hitting weapon should be gotten at the elite level. And that's why they want the LVA in the slot that the vibrolance occupies.

The main reasone that the vibrolance is there is because all of the weapons, save the vibro knuckler, are non-kinetic melee weapons. This comes in handy when fighting certain monsters, ans a fencer can use a stun baton against a mountain squill, and a pikeman can use a vibrolance against desert squills.

The damage difference between lance and LVA are considerable (not taking into account good or bad slices), but also needing consideration are the distance-to hit modifiers. This modifier alone is what makes people go back to the lance. If you're not a master pikeman, you'll miss too many times to see that heavy damage take place.

I think most of us agree the LVA shouldn't be certified until at least novice, just to save the headache of dealing with the accuracy until you can handle it a little better, plus it's arguably our best weapon (at least most damaging as previous poster mentioned). The regular lance is fine where it is. Doesn't really matter I guess.
