Thread: The Pike Pin
I had an idea while twirling my pike about missing. I was thinking about possible defensive moves and came up with this. The Pike Pin, in order to keep those pesky pistol wielders in line we would be granted the ability to pin someone to a spot for a set amount of time or until they can shake it. You would first have to change their posture but then they'd be stuck, not KD'ed, they'd still be able to fire but with penalties to them and better attack and dmg mods for you. This would be a Pikeman only move because we're supposed to have a reach weapoon.
Just looking for a little feedback, feel free to add your own alterations to the idea. Its late, so I could just be rambling.
I would really love a move that is pikeman-only. TK get meditate, I think that the other 3 melee should get a unique class-only skill that is usefull.
Slowing the target down is ok, but that would just be another special move like warning shot (warning shot in pvp makes you walk slowly)

I'd love a stick it move. Get a cheapo lance and ram it through his foot. Let see him run now. It would even be fine if we lost the lance.
I would have to say that the leg hit is close to a pike only type move. I mean if you land a hit with an LVA into the bad guys knee, he is not going to run anywhere. Maybe limp, slowly. Most likely he would be called stumpy. They could call it the crippler. Make it so it only hits on a one in 20 shot or something. Like a knockdown.
As far as nerfing goes, they can't nerf what we dont have. (or can they? /shudder )
Well, in the olden days, pikes were used to discourage charging horses.p
What if there was a "set pike to charge" move, where if someone tried to run at you, they would just sort of.. .stop, when they got like 10-15m away.
it wouldn't help vs kiting shooters, but it would help vs anything else melee trying to rush you. Except for those giant monsters with a melee range of 30m ![]()
