against npc's I getenraly do 600+ dammage, sweep can be anything from 700 to 1700. Polearm hit 2 has been up to 2 or 3000.

Now last night my friend let me duel him to make some quick healing xp. I could barly hurt him. I was doing 150dammage or less. We duelds a second time to see if it would work bettter if he fought back. He is pistoleer 0/0/0/0/, needless to say he wiped the floor with me. And let me further explain this, he stood there and we exchanged shots, no running, no he was too far away for me to hit, we just stood 5m apart.

at this point he hadn't hit me yet and I was at just over half power (starting 1100ham) He was still at full power.

well it went back and forth like that a few more times then I droped.

I switched from LVA to VL and we tried again. This time I got in action shot and he droped me just before he bled out. I just don't get it. Any meelee fighter should wipe the floor with a ranged fighter if he can get in close. I didn't mind the ham penaltis we got for specials because I usually do a massive amount of dammage, but this was just insane.

In PvP damage is reduced 75%, so your numbers don't look all that off.

I have officially switched to Pikeman, but with my rifleman I could hit for 1.5k regularly with Head Shot 2 vs NPCs but against people, I very rarley went over 250.
