Okay. Yes. I'll admit it. I am pursuing Pikeman because of a holocron. Or rather, let me explain, that is what my 3rd holocron told me to pursue.

Unlike the other two (tailor and ranger) this one, however, interests me. For one, I enjoy the way my avatar looks holding the long vibro axe. For two, I enjoy the damage (not the speed) I am dealing.

For three, I can't mindlessly grind my way through this.

That said, it could very well be the case that I may stick with this career once I'm done with the FS chase. That isn't meant as an endorsement of the devs stupid FS-unlocking-path (which is entirely counterproductive to any roleplaying, I might add, however irrelevantly), but I am enjoying Pikeman so far.

But I have heard frightening things. I have heard this class is broken beyond belief, and I have witnessed now, with my own eyes, that you lack even a corespondent. That said, I am hoping to discover what it is you are missing -- I have heard your speed is broken, but also I have heard accuracy, and still yet defense bonus's. So which is it? God, I hope it isn't all of them!

I don't dare yet call myself a "fellow pikeman" but I wonder, pikeman, what can I expect of this broken yet powerful class???

Speed is ok, pike is slow, not sure if that could really be concidered broken.

Accuracy is horrific. Unless you stun first you will miss ~3/4 times sometimes worse.

Defence is a bit better with the last fix. We still don't have much and you can't really wear armor and do specials unless you are buffed, fed, and some times spiced.

HAM costs are horrible. Unbuffed, unarmored, about 3 specials will take me down to half health. I am maxed out on both strength and Con.

Other conciderations, most of our high level attacks are area attacks. I have problems geting them to hit more than one thing at once. More often that not they will just aggro everything around you.

Our dammage is good, but from what I hear less than 2 handed or Kyrat guns.

Even with the problems I love being a pikeman.
