Thread: Exact numbers on pikeman, pure data inside!
Now I was really bored tonight and decided to do some number crunching (which I HATE) but it was easy enough so lets go through. The following numbers are exact as of the date 12/02/03 and show both artisan and elite profession points of both pikeman and fencer.
Now many of you would ask why fencer? So far fencer has risen up with the past few patches and is on par with the TKA. My friend Master Fencer can solo Kimos and has solo'd a juvenile krayt. Right, now this probably won't answer any questions or give any amazing clarity to the pikeman profession but it might just surprise some of you (or not, LOL) about what our stats exactly are as a master pikeman.
The way this will work is I will show the numbers in an excel like fourm (pleaseexcuse the way in which it was done as I am not good with HTML so if it comes out strange on different computers I am sorry)with the first number being only have calculated the elite profession points while thesecond will be the Brawler points and thethird being the total points. If there are no slashes then that is the total number found which mostly the single skills like it were solely found in the elite profession itself. Elite/Brawler/Total

Now come the hard to match abilities. The first ability will be Pikeman and the second Fencer

These abilities are purely Fencer and as a note Pikeman has run out of modifiers.
Combat Equalibrium (this ability increases the chance of automatically recovering from a force posture change) +30
Alertness (This ability offers a chance to defend agaisnt a surprise shot from a covered sniper) +10
This is just pure data. It does not pertain to weapons or armor. I would also like to point out a few things while I'm at it after scowering over the fencer and the pikeman skill trees.
- Why do Pikeman only get +1 to CoB Duration in skill 4 of Brawler when all others get +2? Bug? Typo?
- At first I thought we had more toughness after adding up the elite class points but this is not so after adding in the brawler points which make up a huge difference. I thought Pikeman would maybe have more defense wielding a huge Pike and all.
- There is a total lack of points to the entire Polearm Offensive tree and gaps throughout. Swordsman who seem to be the 3rd worst in the line of melee classes have ability bonuses in every line but still have gaps. Coincidence?
- One last comment about the melee classes. Why can a TKA be able to use heavy armor to do their amazing focus and streneous abilites the same as someone who doesn't? Maybe there should be armor restrictions on which classes can wear what? Maybe it isn't SWG universe but it still makse sense.

Those numbers were taken originally from the pre-patch test center brawler trees, and I believe they remained the same when they went live.

Fencer is insane atm, I was in the force caves on Lowca the other night with my commando buddy, and I usually have to stand back for a moment till pets get enough aggro before I start wailing with the ole vibroaxe.. this master fencer came strolling down, aggroes not 1, not 3, not even 5, but 7 force npc's.. and kills them ALL. After chatting with him for a few minutes, I find out he was only hit 3 times the entire match thanks to fencer CoB.
Is it me, or is that just wrong? lol
