Pikeman Archive

I mastered Pikeman today, and have fought ALOT of creatures. The only time i missed ALOT was maybe once or twice during my whole career before mastering it. Once i missed 7 times in a row, though it never happened again like that. I think Pike is a fantastic profession, and i love it to death. Though, i am attempting to gear my pike skills towards pure pvp, so that means i need to be a hybrid pikeman to be effective, so i must master fencer, and get some TKA defence skill so i dont get KDed and Dizzied 1 second into a duel.

Second i can do fine pve with pikeman if i have food/drink/spice and idealy a doctor buff avalible oh yes and armor is a must then medic (btw is any pikeman not a medic, and if so how the hell do you pull that off), i wouldn't ever think about pvp'ing with it

At the bare minimun you have to have a sunbrun in you to fight, and idealy doctor buffs... so at risk of sounding like pistoleers with a coment like "well i should be uber when fighting naked and drunken" i'm gonna say that we should at least be able to use more then two specials before we need to stim.

I knew going into this porf that pikemen missed a lot and they use a lot of ham. But reading about them on the boards is one thing but experiencing the hopelessness of this prof first had is a completely different experience.

When I got to apprentice pikeman I expected to be hitting almost all the time like with all the other combat classes...but oh how I was wrong. Ok no biggy I thought once I get novice pikeman I get another +20 accuracy and I had enough combat xp to get lvl 2 support right off the bat. So that gives me a boost of +50 accuracy. I figure this should at least get me hitting 90% of the time if not more. OMG I was DEAD wrong. I am a 100% serious when I say I miss at lest 50% of the time if not 55%. What is up with that??? it seems obvious to be now the accuracy mods for this prof are completely broken!

The Ham.......ARE you joking...if its gonna cost 110 ham for a polearm1 attack I better **edit** well hit my mark and a 165 ham for a polearm2 attack.....
