Hi all,

Currently going for master pikeman but have 1 question.

Before I start going for pikeman (nearly at novice) am I best off going for CH or another support skill like Doctor (paying for all those buffs is getting expensive). Don't seem to be having too much trouble apart from the lack of mind buffs, specials are kiling me lol.

Better off with the Doc skills.

I think I'd have to second that. Nothing beats always having stat buffs. You can always use a non-CH pet to draw targets around and run interference for you.

Buffs aren't that expensive, if the going rate is 6k for all stats and provided that they're pretty decent stat buffs 1.5k+ maybe?

You can run more than enough missions to cover for the 6k and even make a profit with the long buff duration.. this of course depends on the mobs you choose to kill, pick something that spawns less out of a lair i.e a quenker on dantooine which only comes 2 at a go rather than some hurtons that you end up having 6 on you... and the thing about having buffs is Not to fight mobs that DB... unless you wish your 6k to go kaput in one unfortunate incident......

It is however possible to do pikeman without any (self)healing abilities, or at least i did so... Well basically.. 3 ingredients... 1.) Action Hit 2.) A speeder 3.) Patience... but its a long and tidious process that you'll probably have to follow only if you're unbuffed and solo... Getting a pet is good to tank one mob while you're fighting the other, idea is to maximise damage from you and not from the pet so you get more xp...

An alternative however is to take up Scouting, get trapping 4.. Adhesive Mesh.. works wonders. uhh when the trap lands
