How do you survive as a pikeman? I just got mastera few days ago and i SUCK. Is there any tricks that anyone could tell me for pvp? or does it all have to do with the weapon. I'm sry if people have answerd this on other threads already but i really need help. Thnx.

PvP'ing as a pikeman is not an easy task at all. Your best options available to you are warcry and lunge, both simply brawler skills, heh. In pvp it's better to use a Vibro Lance or something with better accuracy and speed than the LVA. Try a sweep/ph3 combo if you are close to someone, if not, you'll have to run around spamming lunge to do damage. Always fight armored and buffed if possible, at the very least use food/spice to mitigate the HAM cost of the specials you have to use.

Yep just what Antares said, just to add my opinion... If you're looking for a PvPing pikey you need to look at your overall template as well. Having some of the fencer defences, maybe TKA mods will help immensly. As for me in PvP I have 3 lances, Baisic lance with awesome speed and accuracy (opening sweep) depeding on your stats whether buffed or on some food for ham cost, warcry will save you, if not i switch right to the LVA again basing on the opponents proff either going for action hits, or just regular polearm hits. A lot of PvPing with pikey comes with understanding the game, if you can look at your opponent, notice the vibro knuckles in his hand and switch on your advanced ubese you have a huge advantage, see that good ole eye shot spammer and you done your acid helmet. Sop just in short take in everything, it is only to your advantage do to so. Learn from your mistakes and go on. I've spent countless hours nakked running covert through opposing faction cities just to try out new techniques and learn more.

i am prettty **edit** effective at pvp - at the moment i am Master Pike and have fencer 2 2 0 0 - going to be adding to these skills(and losing my Doc skills; boo hoo). I wear armour that ranges form 86-90% resists(i.e i advise get good armour). Get yourself a mind dot lance - i approach and i hit them once with my mind dot(easy to hit cos its a lance) - i then wait em out as i watch their mind fall away. Keeping roughly within striking distance to finsih em with polearm lunge1.

This is a bit cheap and nasty but it works.

I always fight fully buffed - and I am a consumate consumer of fishak and a muon addict.

In a group fight i will flitter through the opposition putting a mind poison on each(they often dont realize who was doing it). Then my group whips ass once the enemy mind has fallen away. I continue with a regular lance to knockdown/dizzy opposition(i use a lance with speed slice and powerup), so the rest of my group can take advantage.

I have found that with the above 'tactics'(i.e imperative that you find yourself a mind dot lance), i am a great contributor to pvp.
