I just got it last night and is definitely worth it. I just have a regular LVA (sorry folks no 5287 max) with 4.5 speed. Spamming area attack 2 seems much faster.
Its called enchanced melee speed and you can get +12. I am not sure if it just counts as regular addition to polearm speed or a little extra.
