Ok i'm hoping to get a reply pretty fast, maybe a few hours cause i want to get a reply before i start playing.

Ok here is the deal. I love pikemen and i plan on being one at some point. What i want to know is what is it that you feel you need?

DO pikemen need melee smithers to smith htem better weapons?

Do pikemen just need better weapons period, as in in the next patch?

Do pickmen need better armour?

I'm TRying to find out because I want to know if i should go and do some weapon smithing and then go for pikemen... I know i'm gonna be a pikemen running around in a cloak beating the crap out of al who stand in my way... but I like the path on the smither too... so If the pikemen need melee smithers I want to be one of them too... I just need some help.

From my limited experience, there are not a lot of smiths out there who can even craft the lance, much less the vibro. So there is a definate need right now. BUT, as the game progresses, I see us being able to find these weapons. Do whatever floats your boat. If you dabble in something, and don't like it, do something else!!

I am about to get the basic lance cert and I have never seen one on Bria. I haven't seen any of the ones above that either. The only metal staves I have seen have been NPC dropped and do less damage than my player crafted combat staff.

Unless someone jumps OFF the ranged weapon bandwagon and starts crafting melee weapons we will be stuck with basic weapons.

I guess you have to get incontact with a weapon smith an keep in touch with him so you can order some new weapons when ever you need them.

You can still do a lot of damage even with the worst staff in game..

I believe as the game progresses, someone will fill the niche. It's just a matter of time.

What I need is to find a Master Weaponsmith so that I can get a Long Vibro Axe. I would be so **edit** happy, you couldn't even imagine.

I have purchased a Vibro Lance from the bazaar on Lowca. I assume it was an NPC drop. Stats are...

Condition: 950/950 (I repaired it from ~600/1000)
Damage: 42-154
Wound Chance: 26
Range Attack Mods: -39/-39/-39
Speed 5.8
Health Cost: 58
Action Cost: 84
Mind Cost: 28

I am still about 100,000XP away from being certified to use it though.
