I was looking through the very small selection of armour on kouri and the only melee armour i found was chitin. I don't really understand it and basicly all it had was 5% next to the kinetic thingy... I must ask what am i looking for to buy to help agaisnt melee dmg i know it has something to do with kentic.

Kinetic is Melee, but I do not know if that is good. I can make 21% energy with Bone Armor right now, but I don't know whatthe deal is with Chitin and Mabari. Anyone?

Yes, Kenetic is against melee. Chitin is the basic anti melee armor and bone is the basic anti ranged weapon armor, but both don't do much else other then their specific resistance. The other types of armor do more things, such as the Marobi (or something like that), it can block melee as well as energy, along with a few other resistances that may come in handy.

Personally I use a variation between bone and chitin, as they are usually easy to find on the bazaar, at low prices. Also I just mix it up, like chitin boots + bone leggings, this protects against both energy and kenetic leg hits, which can be brutal if you don't have armor there.

5% is a very low stat for an armor resistance. Usually it is the basic armorers, or the starting artisans who make such items... although, if it is the only armor that is available to you, and is relativally cheap, then weak armor is better then no armor.

My armor is at about 25% energy fro the bone, and about 30% kenetic for chitin. In my oppinion this is a semi-average stat, and it did not cost me much to buy them. Speaking of witch I have to get some new ones, and upgrade...
