Thread: Correspond: Could you send an appendum to SOE?

A casual look at these threads will find many players hunting for Long Vibro Axes. I couldn't understand why until last night. It's because only a Master Weaponsmith can make them! This seems, to me, to be a huge logic gap. The certification level for the Vibro Axe is 3 (I think), which makes it virtually a newbie weapon. It just doesn't make much sense to have a low end weapon, needed by begining players only producable by a Master.

One other thing, very minor...I think the certification requirements should be more apparant. I spent half my first level painfully using apolearm I wasn't certified forbecause there is no way to know what exactly I was certified for. There is NO in-game text that tells you what a begining Polearm spec can use.

Also, could you post an update on what you've sent (or will send) on to the Devs?

Thanks!

I know I've posted this a few times, but FLURRY needs the resorces to make these weapons, please let the devs know that the resources are not spawning . Thanks

no server has advanced minerals yet. So, no long vibro axes, no T21 rifles, etc. ALSO no advanced armor, or advanced droids. sounds fun, huh? really makes being master worth it since you cant make ANY master crafting item.

The resources (lack of them entirely or lack of the needed resources with decent stats)are the reason for the rarity, not the lack of master weaponsmiths. If you don't know of any masters, ask around on your server or post on your server board. Send them an email or a tell and I'm sure they'll be happy to sell you one if they have the resources at their disposal.

We really don't need to complain much about this though, believe me, the crafters already are. I'd rather hear abouthow exactly the dev's intend the elite brawler classes to function in terms of PVE and PVP. Then we at least know whether we should becriticizing their ideas or their implementation of them.

I don't expect to hear much anytime soon though except maybe some TKA stuff. We weapon based brawlers area minority of the player base, and the issues that affect more people will be addressed first.

At this point, pikeman is certainly not broken. As a masteryou can be incredibly effective in PVE. I'm happy with that even though weare on the short end of thestick when comparedto TKAs,largely due to the weapon availabilityissues. There are some PVP problems, but they are more generally brawler VS marksman as opposed to the pikeman class specifically.

Maybe I'll be singing a different tune as more people gain elite profession mastery to allow for comparisons, but, aside from the weapon and PVP issues,I'm fairly content at the moment.

Well I picked up my Long Vibro Axe last night. Expensive for a stick, it cost me 20k. I like it. I went from doing 500 with Polearm Hit 1 to doing 1200 with it. Nice!

What I did was, I used the games search function every 10 mins or so, until I found a master weaponsmith who was not AFK ( I found several, often, but they were always AFK). Anyway, he sent me a waypoint to his store and several destroy missions later, I bought it.

I still would like to see it changed, and I would very much like to see our correspondants report to the dev team.

I have not seen from our correspondent for a while now. I was reading in the architect boards a post their guy sent to SoE about architect issues. That was days ago and that correspondent mentioned how his report was LATE. I have seen no such post from ours so I can only wonder what if anything is happening.

I take that back, just read a post from the 28th. Still not overly impressed, my personal opinion of course.

Here is the link to the architect thread I mentioned:

I have already spoken with SOE on the matter of Weapon Certs, specifically with the Long-vibro axe, and the vibro lance.
