So did you all catch the publish 7 feature of mayor changes?


"Warcry has been changed from being a single target lock down preventing it from attacking to a method of “crowd control”."


"Defense stacking will no longer stack beyond the intended combat calculation limits causing the defender to be nigh invulnerable."


Ifind it all very interesting Any thoughts on how the new warcry will function?

from what i understand, warcry will stop an enemy for 10-20 seconds from attacking, until they are attacked again. this severely hinders any melee professions' tanking abilities. one of the main reasons that i picked up master brawler was to keep a krayt, axkva min, or whatever stopped for 20 seconds, while i pummel away, giving my enemy a 10 second window to attack me.


if this goes live, they better take the timer off of warcry, so that we can use it, heal up, hit some more, then use it again when we need more healing. otherwise, say bye bye to tanking the hard mobs.

Publish 7 looks great, and i think there will be some small changes for each profession here

Umm, is it just me or did nothing get changed for pikeman? All we seem to get is a nerf to warcry......

Those aren't update notes, they're major features, not comprehensive.


Things look to get more difficult overall, I think.

I sure hope they get difficult. Well, intense is more like it. Better be some good changes/additions, espeically for us pikes.

With us using spin moves, to me its a serious nerf, and what they automatically assume we Melee's are Medics/Doc's too, laffo, thanks instead of helping us, they nerf a real advantage we had and make it esaier to heal oursleves beacuse we suck so bad in the first placa...by by Master Bralwer..it was fun while it lasted..

I'm fighting to get them to wait untill the combat pass happens before they change warcry.

Why the hairy hell did this stuff come up after I went out and bought a bunch of warcry SEAs?

Actually I feel like bitching about this more.


You know who is responsible for this? It's all thosed damned pvp'ers who get pissed off when you use warcry on them to stop them from spamming their friggin headshots *cough*BH*cough*Riflemen*cough*.


One more nerf for the pve guys and one more bonus for the **edit**ing pvp leets.

Thanks a ton Gunman...they need to at least explain how the New War Cry is going to work, and explain the absurd reasoning behinde changing it. those would be my questions to them...


Are they trying to force people to be TKA if you are melee?..all this will do is make kd/dizzy even more desirable to people..

Well, it's obvious to me that combat moves which make it so you can't attack are pretty overpowering....IE warcry and panic shot. I mean, you land it, they can't do anything for 10-20 seconds, and in pvp, that's a very very long time. So I can't say I'm surprised that they want to change it.


Heres how I understand the changes:


You use warcry (cone effect) and it makes it to where the other person can't attack (just like it does now) The diffrence with the new warcry, is that when you attack the person, the effect is lifted.


So, let say you're out alone, overt. All of a sudden, 3 people jump you. You warcry. Those three people can't attack for 10-20 seconds. Now, you can single out your target, and attack him. Instead of it being a 3 on 1, you're in a one on one situation for 10-20 seconds. It'sstill usefull, but not overpowering or anything. I think this is a more fair version.


The only problem I have with this change is that warcry is a crutch for us now. It helps us get back on level ground with the other professions. By them changing it and not beefing us up, we're screwed. So, I'm not going to protest the change, rather just protest that the change be delayed untill the combat pass occurs.

So if what you wrote is how it's planning on being implimented, why is still my questoin...I thought this wasn't a PvP based game, so why is it that a lot of these recent changes are becuase PvP'ers...


...this change is a huge nerf for PvE and our ability to tank...espicially to us...we are pretty much an area base Profession as it is now with our spin moves....


...if there is no fighting the change fine..I say we fight it, but yes please at least have them push it back to the last Combat re-vamp patch...
