Alright, I'm sure this has been discussed already (or atleast I would hope so) and I have kind of hinted at it here and there on various forums, but why is that for us pikeman to acquire brand new weapons we have to go out and kill fairly powerful nightsisters and for the mother of all pike weapons we have to take down a 425-500k HAM nightsister boss (Axkva min) who is 100% to both of the kinds of damage that we as pikeman can dish out?? This discrepancy is really starting to eat at me because here as of late, I've been seeing an increasing number of new weapons (ala the Geo Caves). So I decided to go down there and see how hard it would be to come across one of these weapons when I was greeted by a large group (some even afk) sitting in the entrance of the geo caves killing and auto looting the geo's as they spawned. At first I was like "There is no way they are getting these new weapons by killin the geo's" but to my surprise that is all there is to it. Now granted those Geo's are not push overs but they are definitely "solo-able" (yeah I like to make up my own words). Okay so that was problem #1. But even after witnessing this for myself, I said 'So what, we are all in need of some new weapons and the Geo caves is a great addition to the game, I can live with this given that their weapons are not as uber as some pike weapons I've heard about"

Well, problem #2 surfaced today when I found out exactly how people were getting the Scythe Schemtic for Swordsman. Apparently there is a quest you can run that involves doing 3 missions, 2 kill and a deliver mission and at the end of that you get a treasure map which throws you in the middle to Krayt Valley. So the final part of this quest has you dig up a treasure and have a Giant Krayt Dragon Spawn on you. Now TRUE, there is no way you can kill a Giant Krayt Dragon solo but there are definitely ways you can get this loot without killing the dragon. Then its off to your neighborhood Weaponsmith and Ding! Brand new Scythe to play with! (I dont know what else there is in making a Scythe so forgive me if there are other parts that are harder to come by).

Now I ask of you guys, how fair is this?? Now granted I know Jedi have a much harder time acquiring their weapon needs and TK have absolutely no chance of new weapons and prolly other prof's that have a hard time at acquiring what they need to upgrade their weapons. But I would have to say overall, Pikeman have it the worst. And to make matters even worse, when I do run across these weapons for sale...they are always hitting for atleast 2million and even more and personally, I cant afford anything like that. Terrible thing, I play video games to get away from the stresses of RL only to find that I cant afford the things I want ingame either

One positive note on this whole situation is that, once you run across one of these weapons and you are in the Pikeman profession FOR the profession and for no other reason you definitely have a story behind each one of these uber pikes. Because each time I take a run at Axkva Min and her 15 million sisters its never a dull trip Another point I would like to make about this is that I am definitely not for lowering the level at which we pikeman can get new weapons because I personally feel like we need challenges such as clearing an entire stronghold full of force wielding witches in order to acquire such powerful weapons....but maybe this philosophy should be shared across other profs to make it so that we all get our slice of humble pie every now and again, because I know I've definitely gotten my fair share of ass beatings over the past few months

After writing this all down, I think I've calmed myself alittle and appreciate being a pikeman even more. So when the day comes that I finally secure myself one of those Nightsister Energy Lances or even a good NS LVA or VL I'll know that I have trully accomplished something great in this game!

The big problem .. isn't that the Energy Lance is hard to get ..... it's that the Energy lance SUCKS ....

Well I mademine with Basic NS VMs ... but even with uber NS VMs it is still "decent"

Sure the new damage Type is cool (though energy is too common .. WE WANT STUN !!!) and the double dot is "nice" .. but since everyone and their sisters are TKMs ... Dot doesn't worth anything ...

Now even a Good crafted LVA is stronger than the Energy Lance ... and a Good looted one just own it ...

The good point of the Energy Lance ..... Hell it looks awesome =)) just walking with it is cool .. and fighting with it is even cooler ...

All for the show ... like the whole pikeman profession ... but Hell I hope it will change ...
