Thread: any better ideas for a solo-pve pikeman?

perasonally im master pike 4340 doc 0004 TKA
i can solo an insane amount of nightsisters all at once
self buffing.. able to heal any poison/disease/fire and some stim-e's for serious heals
and with a few nice dots kicks a$$ in PVP
only thing id change is switch the 0004 TKA for 4000 fencer for a lil higher defenses
but i hate grinding so......

Im half way to this complete temp, was wondering if anyone knows a better temp for a SOLO-pve....
Master Pike
Ch- 4044 gives me 2 pets with light armor and heavy kin resist
TKA-4301 gives me med, power boost, heal wounds and most the def mods
med-0000 for heals
is there something i could switch or replace that would make a bigger impact, or could this be on target?

Im 3042 pikeman now and solo 3 to 4 nightsisters as is. I have no other combat class.

I am a Master Pikeman and Fencer 3-4-4-0. Thisserves me well for my PvE adventures. I can solo a group of nightsisters with little trouble. I just keep a variety of chef foods close at hand as a little boost since i have no healing skills.

get rid of creature handler and take up swordsman. pike has a hard time with some mobs in pve because of specific resistances. blast is always a good thing to have.

Swordsman over CH for sure. Elders will be little trouble to you with a speedy hammer

I have to agree with the others. If you're a pikeman (or any other melee class) you ARE a tank. There's really no need for having any CH at all. (at least game mechanics wise).
My last template was Master Pikeman, Master Fencer, Master Brawler, and TKA 4300. The only problem I had was that, while I could handle a large group of NS, with no problem, I had to run from the NS Elders because of resists they have.
I think next time around I might switch out Fencer for Swordsman.

Agree swordsman/pike is the soloing profession. I have a backup alt who is musician/doctor and it works wonderfully. I love soloing things, and if and when the combat revamp changes that,that will be the last straw for me.

dodge isn't viable against high level mobs even with aircake. better to do some damage while you're tanking then just to soak up damage and tickle them with that AP0 gaffi baton or the AP1 butter knife.
