I just got novice pikeman and was testing it out on a kunga with 100% kinetic and elct. resist and light armor and did no damage with the LVA. Shouldn't some damage have got through?

medium armor piercing -> AP2

every typo i made here is fully wanted and only exists due to entertainment reasons

Armor piercing increases the damage you can do to something not 100% resistant to your damage type. Each level of AR above the AP value of your weapon decreases your damage output by 50%. Each level of AP value above AR increases your damage output by 25%.

which in turn leads you down to that it at times can be more efficient to use LVA instead of VL even if the electricity resists are lower than the kinetic. And that at leas my LVA´s are higher on damage than my VLs. Typical example is some of the DWB mobs.

Exactly. I noticed this and told some people who were talking about becoming a pikeman to fight the SBDs in the vette or others in the DWB, when in fact, most LVAs outdamaged all but the best looted VLs.
