I am currently a Master Swordsman/Teras Kasi Master/Fencer 1400/Novice Medic. I personally love it right now, but I think I want a change. Fencer's are terrible in pvp and pve, so im not going that way, but there great for defense of course. How is pikemen? Yes, I heard that pikmen are terrible and all that, but I also heard that swordsman werent good for pvp, and I can take down almost anyone. Truly, with a good pike over about 700 damage, with good speed, maybe some SEA's, good armor, food/drink, can I be ok in PVP? Also, how is pikemen pve wise? Is it equal to swordsman, better, worse? Thanks for your time.

Pikeman is average in PvE, Very nice on the corvette and DWB because of electricity damage.
In PvP... Pikeman is not a very good choice... But we do have the DoTs... And with a nice damage pike and if you cap your speed with skill tapes, you could do some nice damage if they arent wearing armor... But you need to be pretty rich to be a good pikeman in PvP.

I have this long vibro axe that is 180-838 max damage, 3.1 speed. My scythe is 254-473 damage, 2.6 speed. As you can see, the lva is much better damage, so you are telling me that I will not perform well in pvp? I do great with the scythe in pvp with armor on.

Against melee mitigation 3 your LVA turns into 180-443. That's an average of 306, which at 3.1 speed means about 100 damage a second.
Against melee mitigation 3 your scythe becomes 254-341. That's an average of 297, which at 2.6 speed means 114 damage a second.
If you're fighting a master of a melee class, the scythe is the superior weapon. Add into that the fact that /headhit3 is a hugely powerful attack against the mind pool, that the scythe has considerably better accuracy than the LVA, and that swordsmen have superior toughness and counterattack.
Yeah, it's pretty easy to say you won't perform as well in PvP. Unless you use DoTs. Then you have an "I win" button.

Fencers aren't good at PvP? Wow.....that's something you don't hear very often.

Maybe its just me, but I cannot find ONE fencer that does damage to me in pvp. I have dueled many fencers 1 on 1, and me as a swordsman always ends up killing them. Fencers are so over rated. You just need to intimidate them, stun them, blind them, dizzy them, and just be smart.

those fencers must not know about COB and aircake....

Well, fencers are considerably tough to take down, with their high dodge mods, combined with COB and Aircake, food, etc. But they do not do much damage to me. If only composite armor wasnt created ...
