Pikeman Speed Sucks
Pikeman Damage Sucks

Pikeman Speed Sucks - true, but we're not about speed. We're supposed to hit hard and hit slow
Pikeman Damage Sucks - it's indeed not as high as it should be, but in PvE we can do quite reasonable damage
Pikeman Defense Sucks - no argument here
Pikeman Profession Sucks - despite its problems, pikeman is still the most fun profession in the game. It by no means sucks.

always love these thought out post...
our speed does suck without tapes, however, with tapes were are powerful
our damage sucks, mostly due to the evil mitigation system as wel as dependency on loot.(crafted 400 max vs looted 600-1500 max)
accuracy is low
defenses are useless without supllemental classes (fencer/tk)
but!!...pikeman is by far the funnest prof there is.

I'm sorry, I have to post this.
You know what? We HATE these kinds of posts! We KNOW that we don't have the best accuracy, we KNOW that our HAM costs are huge, and we KNOW that we have little to no defenses! You don't have to tell us ok?!!

Mine only has 5000 uses left..and stays stuck ona shelf unless I'm out hunting a Jedi.

Pike damage doesn't suck, on certain creatures/npc's it may, but on average, i hit for around 5k damage with polearmhit3. I admit i'm not using a crafted pike, my LVA is 707 max damage, 4.2 speed, w/o powerup, if you want to do more damage, just go hunt NS for a few days until you find a good pike.

Will all the downs Pikeman has . PIKEMAN STILL ROCKS!!!!! It is the onyl profession I have kept for any amount of time, 'cause I still have yet to get bored with it. right now, I am on my "I want to kick the hell out of Super Battle Droids with my VL" kick. I like watching all the fencers and TKA's running for their lives when a SBD shows up and I stand there and wack it with my stick.
