Hi, this is my first time playing Pikeman ever, I have a basic understanding of the Pikeman, but I really want to know more about weapon choice..
I see a bunch of NS lances with Mind fire, Mind Poison etc.. Can someone please give me an example of GOOD mind poison?and BAD mind poison? I don't want to buy a good pike without a good understanding of what to look for..
I'm looking to mainly do PvE. So if you guys want to post your current weapons, that is great, because I seriously have no idea what stats on a pike im looking for.
My main question is, is damage more important than mind poison? And if it is, the highest damage I have ever seen is 400? is it possible to reach damages of 900 and up?
Thanks, any info on weapons would be greatly appreciated.

If you're looking to do mainly PVE, forget the mind DOTs. You won't need them in PVE.
A good DOT is around 200. Potency somewhere over 60%. Duration at least 120 seconds.
In PVP, a good DOT beats good damage everyday. Unless the damage is like a 1000 damage pike.
Only looted pikes will have damages higher than 400 unsliced.

Also a good dot is 200+ with 50% or higher potentcy and decent uses 4k+
Best weapon for PVE is a LVA. A good one is 600+ damage and they go as high as 1500+ if you get real lucky loot.

Is there a particular area to search for LVA's? or would it just be easier to buy one

Trade forum if you're looking to buy, go kill nightsisters if you're looking to loot.

So the only stats im lookin' for in a LVA are high damage? I'm a little new to this game so I'm kind of confused, how does some one do 5,000 to everyone around them with a 700 damage pike? hehe Or maybe I misread something

On an LVA, approx. 130-400 is good damage on a player made. 4.4 speed is the norm.
Anything higher than that, unsliced, is a loot.
They can go as high as 1500 I've heard.
In PVE, max dmg x 1.86 x dmg modifier = highest dmg possible
So, for example (using polearm hit 3), 400 x 1.86 x 4.0 = 2900. A good sliced player made at say 500 x 1.86 x 4.0 = 3720.
Now take a looted axe with 750 dmg. 750 x 1.86 x 4.0 = 5580.
