Thread: PvE tactics: Do you use leghits or or not?

I am using primary the other attacks (area attack) and Hit3 on single targets. I don't use leghits3 that often (usually when I already got action down low) but since I recently mastered and also did that the tree with leghits last it might have made me overllok these attacks.
When using randaom attack health is hit about 60% of the time if not more. My experience has been that using random attacks is faster even if you might hit action and mind sometimes. Especially if you start out with area attacks
What do you do?

I use Leghit3 when soloing GDK's and when tanking krayts. Any other mobs I use Hit3, or Areaattack2 if engaged with multiple mobs.
BTW Bermag get with me in game. I have some pikes you may want since I have to give it up for my Jedi skills come Tuesday.

So leghits for taking care of solo creatures and AA2/Hit3 for groups. Yes that seems reasonable
Sure Soruman will try to contact you in-game. I am looking for some high-damage Pikes.
What sucks most with Pikeman is that I can't make any uber weapons. Using 3 vibromotors or 2 good NS vibro units for a small gain in damage is hardly worth it. Pikeman is to much loot dependant to have good weapons.
Devs let us be able to make a real good crafted pikes. Something comparable to a PH.

If it's something that's going to take a little while to kill, leghit is handy. It's good for things like high-level NPCs, Kimogilas, Krayts, Acklay, etc. Throw on bleeds for the hell of it, maybe an action poison, then just pound on the action pool until it dies. Hit3 will often get the job done faster against the lower end, but against something with high resists and/or a ton of HAM it's a bit more efficient to direct all your damage into a single pool.
For most things leghit really sort of sucks, though. Leghit2 is higher DPS than leghit3 until you cap on speed, and neither of them have a particularly good damage vs delay ratio compared to the other classes' pool-specific attacks.
