Pikeman Archive

Hi folks.

I have read quite a bit about the various pike templates and it does sound fun. I am considering giving it a shot but can't find testimonies of too many MRifleman/Mpikes and that is what I would like to try.

I have to believe that pulling a cluster of NPC's with strafe shot two and then knocking em down twith the pike would be a wildly effective means to loot hunt.

Anybody have input on this?

Excellent, this is the stuff I want to hear.

Basically, the CH grind was soo long that I don't want to give it up for something that isn't fun to play. The area knockdowns and all sound great.

Dmeryerhoff, do you find yourself pulling like I said? SS2 and area attacks?

also, do you have medic skills?

Prior to picking up doc, I was Master Rifleman/Master Pikeman/0040 pistoleer/2130 Medic. Amazing combo. Only thing that could kill me in PvP was DOTs, and it rocked house on PvE too.

I am a master pike, master rifle, medic 0040, and 3000 scout who pvps about 70% of the time.

I have had this templete for over a year now. The stacked block works ok ,and the medic part is to heal states. Blind is very bad for a pikeman. (blind = automatic switch to rifle for me)

I have the scout for burst run, but i think i am about to drop it becase any jedi can run me down now.

The only problem with this in my opinion is that you still can't go toe to toe with the melee stackers because of the low defence. But one on one , it works well enough to by some time to drop a mind dot ,apply akd dizzy and get the hell out of there whileshooting mind shot .

I am no uber pvper by any means ,but i do have alot of fun with this combo. I find it funny when i fight a melee stacker for a long time then switch to my rifle at the very end.( i wear my master pikeman tag all the time)

Just finished this template off a few days ago (alond with a few medic and scout skills)and I've been playing around with it for a bit now.

Personally I think it rocks so far. Love being able to scatter shot NPCs, Area Dizzy/KD them when they get close, then shoot em in the back when they try to run

Right now I'm still deciding on using the leftover points for medic or going TKA 4 0 0 4...

Haven't had too much luck with nightsisters thus far -- still getting overwhelmed when I have a group of them on me.

On a related note, does anyone know a good way to single pull NS's with a pike or rifle?

Shoot them with mind shot and then peace as fast as you can.

Then go to a safe area away from the pack under 80m from your target.

When the bleed ticks the first time , you will attacked by that individual alone.

But dont get too close to the mob when you try to put the bleed, or they will all atttack.

This used to work ,but i am not sure if it does anymore since they beafed up nightsisters in that last patch. (I am taking a swg vacation until they fix this big pile of crap we call the gcw)

neways, since i cant read, this combo rocks in pve on NS (rifles on elders, pikes on most others) and pvp isnt bad, if u have a good jawa.

o and by the way, i outdmg myself using pikes as opposed to rifles =] i like beating the crap outta stuff after intimidating...u intim 2 then area 2 for dizzy, sweep2 for kd, and then just either stay area2 or hit 3 until they are chopped meat

master Brawler/pikeman/rifles here with a small bit of medic or scout (depending on wether I'm helping the doc's gather resources or pvping) gotta say I love it, great for ns's (I soloed a mountian clan arch witch unbuffed, my happiest moment ) can solo most things with ease actually (the melee and ranged mitigation is great)
