Thread: Need the COB macro, search is not working.

A few days ago there was a COB macro listed in a thread. Could it be listed again, the search tool is down and I want to get it done as quickly as possible before tonight. Thanks in advance.

My COB macro is: (macro called COB)
/centerofbeing
/pause 30 (could do 31 just in case)
/macro cob
I am 99% sure this is the timer I have put on it.

Be careful with CoB macros, if you move when CoB is "powering up" it will not work - it will get cancelled.

What is the macro command to show a text on the screen? That could be used for exampel 1 sec before you start the new COB to give you a warning you need to stop moving.
Best would be if they remove the COB warm-up though.

THanks, Ill try it. I come from a Ranged background and there are a lot of things I have to learn or get used to. Everything is different. I think the small amount of damage I appear to do is dishearting but then the ability to just stand there and take the hits with little or no affect on me is amazing too.

simple solution to knowing when to stand still . . .
put a /tell <you name> stand still COB about to restart
you'll also get a beep ^_^ to signal you

The one I found on the boards that I like is
CoB
/centerofbeing;
/pause 43; (My CoB seems to run 45 seconds)
/tell Shyy'rissk CoB coming;
/pause 4;
/macro CoB
Because moving/fighting breaks it, that gives me a warning to stop doing them for a second so I can activate it.

Before I spec'ed completely out of melee I used this:
/centerofbeing;
/pause 38;
/alarmaddin 0 0 CENTER OF BEING
The alarm is there toputthe messageon your screen, and sounds off five beeps.The timing is such that CoBwears off on the last beep.
I didn't loop it, just used it like this to have a goodidea when to use CoB again.

Yes those methods would work. But I know there is a macro command to show a text as a system message (appears on screen). Just don't remmeber what it is (time to search forums lol)

The command is :
/echo your_text
But I prefer use alarmAddin, when the alarm sing, I stop walking and I wait for the reload.

That alarm command could be very useful. I currently have /tell to myself in my macro which works fine, except that it's nearly impossible to carry on a conversation in tells because my own names usually appears in the reply line.
My understanding is that cob is 35 seconds and imp cob is 45 seconds. I set off my current tell at 43 and the imp cob ability 2 seconds later.

thanks for the post everyone, i never thought to make a macro out of it. I had it as my default attack and was wasting a lot of action.
