Pikeman Archive
Thread: Hello there...
So I thought ide post on here, as the PA tells me to post more often anyways, and just say hi.
Pikeman is without a doubt the most fun I have had in this game since the launch. I just enjoy playing it. I enjoyed it so much, that I gave up on grenades, realizing that I was paying $15 a month to grind. So I decided to give up with that, and just have fun. Pikeman is fun. So...hooah!
Please bear with me if I ask any daft questions, I have read the FAQs and the stickies above, but It is possable i missed something so please be nice.
thanks

Welcome.
Finding a stocked vendor on a particular server is hard. Finding a well stocked clothing vendor near Mos Eisley is probably about as likely as getting hit by a meteor on the way to work. Honestly, with around, what, 300 different clothing items or so, and tons of different color combinations of each one, anyone who is willing to stock even 1000 different items in their store is going to be a) better stocked then most of their competitors b) still have a very poor representation of the overall clothing possibilities and c) be spending a ton of online game time just simply restocking the vendor to keep it at that level.
I respect tailors that can do that, but after doing it myself (twice) I can say from experience that burnout can come quickly. As a customer I've always had the attitude that I'd rather just email in a custom order and get exactly what I wanted, rather then spending lots of my online time trying to get something close, and as a tailor I take that same philosphy now. It's liberating, but maybe you have to go through the restocking a hundred items a day thing before you get to that point, lol.
Anyway, good luck to you.

... I'm new to SWG and thought I'd give Tailoring a good bash after having problems locating a stocked vendor on Tatooine. I'm not going to mention the server but being new and not being able to find a good stocked vendor (more than a few items) close to Mos Eisley and Bestine was a little dissapointing. Well i'm hoping i'll be able to add my collection of tailored goods to the community once I get going.

I was planning to ensure i have a large selection of clothing on offer before opening for business, getting to master and having the cash to actually do that though is another thing entirely. Still, i shall see what i can sell as i work my wau up using the bazaar as an outlet for the moment. I'm confident of getting reasonable sales that way (i hope!!!)
Welcome to the fun of the tailor forums
I'm glad you found your way over here, I know I wouldn't survive very long without my link to the forums
