Howdy,
I'm grinding pike for my Bounty Hunter (miss melee BH, and pike seems to be the way to go) and have a few questions. My planned final template is BH 3000, Master Pike, CM 4014.
1.) I created a macro for center-of-being, but half the time it doesn't stick. I see the yellow bar charge up, and then nothing. Sometimes it sticks, most the time it doesn't. I even wrote in my macro for it to message me and stop clicking so that I could be sure that COB had time to charge fully and then stick, didn't make a difference. How do you guys deal with this, or is it bugged?
2.) What would be the best weapon of choice when taking on a Jedi? My concern on a VL is that it uses Energy so any1 wearing a PSG (which is every1 I know) is going to have resists against it.
3.) If any of you have any tips for PvP using Pike (1on1), or any others, don't be afraid to share them

1) You have to be stationary for CoB to take effect. If you're moving it won't work. As long as you're not moving when your macro fires you'll hit it every time, so it may be worth adding some sort of warning message to your macro so you can know when to stop running around.
2) The Kashyyyk Bladestick is a very respectable kinetic weapon. It's my weapon of choice in pvp.
3) Lunge, intimidate, armorbreak, stun, impale until dead. Have CoB active at all times.

Ah, thank you, for some reason I thought it was not activate another command while CoB was charging up. I got a Bladestick from a guildie, so I'll give that a whirl. Is leghit not good enough to spend action on alternating between it and impale? I would think the two would be on two different times, so alternating between the two attacks would deal the most damage. Then again, with intim, stun, armorbeakand my CM states, I may not have enough time to alternate between two different damage attacks.

Well, I've only really done group PvP (with 90% of those groups composed of jedis) post-CU. In that situation I mostly just focus on states, I'll never be the big damage dealer. Intimidate, stun, bleed (I have some fencer), kd are my focus.
I do sneak off to take down any non-jedi they may group with though, that's when impale comes back out
I rarely use leghit though. Unless someone forgot to wear pants I fail to see the point.
