My holocron told me I must Master Pikeman. I'm quite looking forward to it really.

So on to my question.....

Anyone able to provide pikeman / polearms training on the Tarquinas server?

Could be worse. Master CH I know got Master Armoursmith.

Could be better, another CH Friend got Master Scout. lol

I'll add to the "Holocron told me to do it".

I was told to Master Pikeman also. I just made Novice Pikeman.

HAHA, all of you novice pikeman are about to feel the SUPER crappyness we posses. With more and more people coming to pikeman, maybe the will finally fix us.

Pikeman : The only class that couldn't hit the ground if they droped their weapon.

Well as I currently my combat skill's consist of Marksman 0-4-0-4 Surely Pikeman can't be any worse? Can it?

I got a holo for pikeman

my friend got a holo for swordsman same day

he hits twice my speed, and for more damage.

I WAS master pistoleer, yes i see why people complain about the class.

nice... lets hope at least 50% of the holos say master pike, LOL, we MIGHT get some help then...

But this is my 2nd profession, guess what my 1st profession was... Chef!

This cant be as bad, id love to kill stuff instead of chef !

Hello, my name is Fetch... and I'm a Holo-Pikeman.

Here's my quick story of the day:

This is my third holo profession. First was Pistoleer and second was Smuggler. I knocked both of those out in 2 weeks, as I was at 2-4-4-4 of BH before holocrons.

Anyway,this morningI got Polearm 1 and 2 by killing fawned rawls (sp?) outside of the space port in Keren. Took about 45 minutes. After that I got myself a Long Vibro Axe and got a good speed slice out of it (Master Smuggler DID come in handy), and then got on the next ship for Dantooine. I headed to the Argo (Pirate) outpost and pulled out my AT-ST and grouped it. Got 2Voritor HunterLair missions. It's important to only get this type, as their only special attack will make you dizzy and fall down. Other voritors have poison and nasty stuff.

The tactic I used was to sick the AT-ST on the lizard and once the lizard was directly under it, go in and attack. About 50% of the time theLizard will turn and hit you. Make sure you've got a good set of composite. I had a special set of composite made for me that's 80% against kinetic. Each kill got me about 1K xp. I made it through polearm 3 and 4 in about 2 hours. If you can get 'em, doctor buffs are a lifesaver.

Now I'm novice Pikeman. I'm already at 0-0-0-2 as I had 170K combat xp saved up from Bounty Hunter. All in all, I'd say Pikeman is an interesting challenge so far. I don't understand the range modifiers on weps and I've never seen my target accuracy change from -50.

If any of you Veterans have any advice, I'd love to hear it.

Tried posting this under a new thread but it wouldn't let me so this ones the most aproprate

Being a Holocrom lead Pikeman I've never looked at the profession, so could somebody give me a breakdown of the styles so I know what to aim for 1st, as the description are hardly enlightening on chrt Builder or in game, so need to know what's the knockdown? the bleed, dizzy, etc

I'm also thinking I'll get novice carbine to add another action bleed but I'd like to hear others opinions and if it worth going any higher in carbine.
