Historically speaking, pikemen were always used against the Cavalry and I think in order to start specializing and separating the melee classes Pikemen should have huge offensive and defensive bonus's against mounted enemies and while on mounts [jousting]. Just a thought and maybe we can elaborate on it later.

I don't thinka lot of people will be fighting on mounts because they won't be able to use specials while mounted. So, getting an offensive bonus against that probably won't do us much good.
