of course BH will probably out damage us cause of LLCs but it seems we were given a chance against the death watch guys. and all I can say is suck it TKM!

Well, the medium armor reduces the VL damage by an additional 50%. If you had a sliced 500dmg LVA and a sliced 400 VL, the LVA will still do a little more damage. If only the VL was AP2...

I thought since the VL was AP1 there was only a 25% reduction against medium armor.

Nope, you get a 25% bonus for every level of AP your weapon is above the AR, but a 50% reduction for every level of AP below AR. So light AP vs medium AR = 50% reduction, not to mention the reduction for resists. But I didn't look at the picture yet, what kinetic resists do they have and what electricity resists do they have?

ok, I looked at the picture. 75% resist to kinetic, 45% resist to electricity. So, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you will get more damage through using the VL. The LVA would get 25% damage through (no bonus, only resist penalty) and the VL would get 27.5% damage through (.5 for armor reduction * .55 for resists). So since it is such a small benefit you'd need to have a VL that is comparable in damage to a LVA, or in other words a good looted VL. My best VL has something like 525 max damage I think, so it would do a little better for me than my LVA.

This where my new VL with around 660 max dmg and a +8 pike speed mod will be handy ^_^

ahh I gotcha about the armor thing. it makes me wonder why a lance (a lance being something that one uses to poke other things) would have less of an ability to pierce armor than a chopping axe but I guess thats another topic all together. At least with medium AP on a LVA we still have an advantage over TKMs and with 90% blast resists we should be able to loot over swordsmen too. now if only the crafted stuff had 70% stun protection =)

You guys think this is tough, wait till you see the super battle droids in the death watch bunker. Similar resists plus heavy armor and 225k HAM. The faint of heart need not apply.
