I did the same thing. I like it so far, but I'm not very far in. Defense dabbling is SO much easier than it was with BH.

OMG...i also did they exact same thing. I went from MBH/carb 0430 to Master Carbineer!!/Master Pikeman!!!/Fencer 4000/medic 0040. I enjoy my current template a whole lot more than simply being a MBH with some carbineer skills. I dont really need that fencer but I figured what the hell, I got a ton of extra skill points to blow, might as well uber myself up a bit. You cant do that with bounty hunter.

A note about pikeman...it is awesome at pvp. I just last night obtained my +19 polearm speed and now I can rip anything at the speed cap. It is so easy to take on 4+ Nightsisters rippin area attack 2 at the speed cap!

This seems to be the 'Former BH, now Melee' thread.

I too, just dropped all my BH skills and Carbineer skills last night. I am planning on going MasterPikemen / dabbler in Fencer / TKA / Swordsman.

I wanted to make an uber melee template to see what it's like to actually survive the high-end content

I dropped Bh and went master fencer/master tka/ master brawler

Just want to kick some ass for once while waiting for bh to get fixed

I dropped BH went melee and grinded back up to BH with an alt.

Pikeman is very fun but it does have it's problems.

You'll enjoy it very much.

Indeed

IMHO, I think Pikemen has the best animation for combat manuevers / attacks, and the coolest sound effects for weapons.

One dayI will probablyreclaim my Master BH title. Ireally enjoyedthat profession. Maybe someday it will be improved

Totally forgot i posted this thread, but great input, im surprised how 2 FarSatr guys i know managed to find this thread

Anyway, im currently doing Swordsman, as ive never done it before, and i fancy the mind dmg. Im going to combo it with Pikeman, but im left with a problem:

Both ahve totally crap Melee and ranged defence, i doubt both combine are as much as fencer, but the dmg outpust should be special, although lacking in the stun dept.

I just got a DoT LVA:

Mind Poison, 263 Strength, 43% potency, around 7.5k uses, cost me 190k so i think that was good price.
