i started reading the trade forums and polearm speed tapes r selling very very well almost 1mil a point on chimeara, it used to be like 50-200kk for a point.

then i went into coronet and saw over 100 pikeman so istared asking some of these pikeman if they were just trying the professionand they seem to be going full time.....

why have we become so common now?!

i know i should be happy that we r finnaly getting some more people, but its bad for the old timers, i mean high damage pikes r selling for loads and the skill tapes r selling for loads too, and im not that rich anymore.

Feel abit bad about that.. dont want to brag but i may have something with that.. i got my hands on some very nice pikes, and since then i have gotten some very nice combat results with my pikeman template. And many of my victims started talking with me and in the end they wanted to become pikemens too.

A week ago there wasnt so many of us pikemans on chimaera, now i see them most of the times. The funny thing is, that all of those pikeman wannabies allways starts asking me what pike im wearing when holding my NS Energy Lance.. IF you are a serious pikeman you should know what kind of weapon that is.

They will find out that you are very loot dependent and 80% of them wont find any nice pikes, so in 2 weeks or so they will be gone again.. i hope.

I noticed that on chimarea too. I've just started to go pikeman and only recently started playin again with a new char. I'm not in it for the Dots nor to aid a PvP template, im going to be a Pikeman, and only a Pikeman. I just want the devs to pay the profesion the attention it deserves and sort out some new, decent weapons. I dont care if attacks are weak if we are given the ability to tank the best and have some nice AoE status attacks. I'd like pikeman to be a real team player not a soloist.

Went a bit off topic there but the increase is probably just because they got beaten by somebody with a good Dot pike in their combat template. Like you said, when they realise they will never get that they will be gone again...hopefully with the combat pass we will see combat classes in roughly equal amounts rather than loads of TKMs and no Pikemen.

I wouldnt mind if people just did it for the love and not the dots but it seems to be a popular thing to do nowdays...Just try to endure lol...

Granite I have not been a pikeman very long, but I have also been out of the game for 3 months. I have had 3 supposedly friendly duels. 2 tkas, one fencer. The first tka, I soon found out was also a cm. poison, disease.. I then ./endduel....jackass. the other two just stuck fire and disease dots on me to grief. I beat them both, but was all blackbarred after it. the last two wee even imps. It seems practically anyone with brawler skills can efectively use our lances, thus making us even even less of a threat. Oh, and if you are asking how I still managed to win........I saw wha happened and stuck mind poisons on them and kited with the rifle. It was either that or die.
