Thread: Wookiee Pike?
The texture exists, the weapon does not.

To my knowledge, there is no wookie pike, they were photoshopped screen shots.

I saw a screenshot of the day on the main page with a wookiee pike. Had a guy in red mandolorian armor wielding a wookiee pike. I just assumed it was on one of the test servers, but it was one of the official screenshots of the day on the main SWG page. I think I saved the pic, will host it and clicky it if I did when I get home.
That photo was created using a Client Side Hack.
You can tell this for two reasons:
1) The Mandalorian Armor is all red. When making Mandalorian armor, the color is randomized, so getting an entire read suit is not impossible, just highly improbable.
2) The Kasskyyn Ceremonial Lance that the wielder is holding can be seen in several
weapons displays in the game. The user simply found the correct file, and told the game to display that artwork in the place of artwork for a normal lance.

I doubt they'd suspend or ban anyone for a client-side texture hack. Generally speaking, they don't even have a way of knowing it happened.
As for why they used it, I just assumed that whoever's in charge of selecting screenshots wasn't aware that the weapon is not in the game and that nobody has that much matching mandalorian armor.

Pure comedy ^_^ Thanks for the info, guys.

This is the sort of improbable that only Xaphod Breeblebrox and his stolen Improbablity Drive would be able to run across. It hasn't happened. At least not yet.
It could happen. Like monkeys, typewriters and Shakespear. And 42.
