Thread: Good Weapon Stats for LVA's and VL's

I'm pretty new to the game, relatively poor, almost a Master Pikeman, and having a good amount of fun.


Anyhow, what are the best stats on a craftable LVA or VL? The average I've seen is:


VL LVA

100 - 305 110 - 350

4.0spd 4.5 spd

+1mrng -29m rng


I've searched through the forums but a lot of the posts talking about this were from 2003. Has much changed on the weaponsmithing front? Oh, and if you're on Ahazi and have a vendor recommendation please feel free to share. Thanks.

mines 850, 4.5 speed on my lva.. dont got a great VL yet

I'm on Ahazi , the VL isnice butgood crafted LVA's go up to around 375 max on our server. I wish i could point you to some vendors but i use Nightsister looted weapons. Even a NS weapon with crafted style damage will have a lower mind cost than a crafted one so is still useful in my opinion. Anyway if youhave any more questions feel free to mail me ingame.

True, but looted lances have terrible accuracy mods, it hurts bad when fighting fencers on dodge food.

True, but looted lances have terrible accuracy mods, it hurts bad when fighting fencers on dodge food.






Well yeah but if you use crafted weapons in PvPagainst someone with melee mit3 and comp you have to be happy with hitting them for 50 points or so.

And there is pikeman's dilemma! The only space in between are looted vibro lances (which im currently looking for). Accuracy isn't bad on them. Not having AP2 does stink, but it's better than swinging at the air.

you can find axes -sliced- in the high 400's if you look around...


lances in the high 300's

hey sorry i didnt post sooner, my computer usually doesnt let me on this site...


anyway


the best crafted unaltered pikes i see are...


LVA

4.4 speed

382 max dmg..

-13 range mods (darn good on long vibro axe)

the dmg on this rocks, best crafted one sive ever senn made by that orange weapon guy on intrepid, wrz something like that. find the best out there buy a bunch and slice them all... with good dmg slices I get from 450-512 dmg... then just add speed melee powerup


LVL

3.9 speed

100-305 dmg...


great slice on these i get to 370-420 dmg


ialso find a good vendor of looted pikes, i buy non dot pieskw tih great damage... i have boughten some super fast great dmg looted pikes from noraa on intrepid a 2.6 and 3.5 speed LVA at over 500 dmg.. even a 543 dmg LVL... pretty sweet, right now I got my weye on this 3.4 speed 764 dmg pike...its a LVA


hope this helps. Allmost all of my weapons r the best craftable pikes with the best slices.,.

these are ok but the highest damage crafted and sliced not those 1k double sliced things but an actuall crafted then sliced is about 246 - 507 damage and 2.9 speed

Before Booi retired as WS, he was making around 412 pre-sliced LVAs.

On my server, Crafted LVAs are usually 375-380ish, with a good slice you can get them over 500 dmg...makes for a decent weapon if your like me and don't have one of those 1k+ looted ones. For PvP, I tend to prefer my 648 max dmg looted VL. Also, since most people wear high base-effectiveness sliced stun armor in PvP, theres a good chance that thier electric resist will be 80% or lower where as anyone with decent PvP comp will have kinetic resist that are 80% or higher.

I enjoy my 1169 max dmg lva immensly, yes thats sliced and un'puped. It'd be like 15-1600 dmg pup'd. And I'm almost speed capped also, only need another +10.
