I have been Master Pike for 2 months now, was really fun, in PVE and PVP. Most people say that it isn't great for PVP, I always found it to be more fun, because it is more then spamming one attack. I admit it was all DoTs, nothing else, I still found it funny to hear from someone I killed "You suck at pvp, your dots do everything" I just laugh. I stood well against most oppenents as Master Pike/ Master Doc. Gonna go to a new template now, not sure what, was a lot of fun. Thanks for all the help on these forums, it was good times!!

well, as a master doc, any proff u do will be fine in PvP, you dont have to worry, if i were you rifleman doc, and fencer doc , seem to be good ones now. . . . .
we will miss you, even if you were just here for DOTs, the proff is probably better off. . . . .
im here to stay.........

Good luck with your new templates endeavors. swordsmen/doc owns in PVE but not sure how ell it does in PvP. Rifleman/doc used to be the bomb in pvp but with so many Jedi out there its effectiveness is questionable now. Fencer/doc seems to be the ultimate PvP template especially with an uber baton. Anyways just some thoughts, good luck to ya.

Yea going back to rifle/doc, I was swords/doc, fencer/doc and now pikeman/doc. I found pike to be the biggest challenge, pvp wise!

Well, sorry to see a pikeman go. But the real PvP challenge for Pikeman, is nto usaing ANY DOTs at all. I don;t and I do very well, you always loose some. But i win the majority of my duels. Just gotta knwo what yer doing, which most peopel do not when being a pikeman.

I can duel for hours on end without dots, I know how to win, I just find dots speed up the process. I also found Pikeman can own most jedi, if you got a fire lance. I was dueling one of those ebay'd jedi rofl, it was great. Spent 1/2 the duel trying to heal up his mind wounds, rofl. I will miss pikeman, I didn't think it had as much pve potential as other professions though!

I can't see where you say that Pikes do not have much PvE potential. Pike is awesome at PvE. Yea we have trouble with some nightsisters but other than that we rock at PvE. It's all in knowing what moves to use at the right time. We aren't a one button win profession thank goodness. Our specials have different effects on group and solo npc's that all must be used to be a truly effective Pikeman.

I have tried every melee profession, I found pike to be the worst in PVE IMO.

If I had to rank the melee profs I would probably say
1. Swords
2. tkm/pike are about even
4. Fencer, its just awful...

we do rock at pve, i love my template since i remasterd pikes. i just hang around the ns stronghold hoping to loot somegood weapons
best thing ive got so far is a 35% fire health 225 strnegth 149s lva
not as good as ALOT of the looted lvas on my server, but its still handy
EDIT: im nearly speeccapped bear in mind
