I'm new to the Pikeman profession, so pardon me if I'm asking a complete noob question here;
I want to confirm that I understand this properly.
If I have Master Pikes (which gives me a polearm speed of 75), as well as the Force Sensitive Melee Speed Column (for a total of +12 Enhanced Melee Speed) - this gives me an effective total polearm speed of 87 correct? (75+12=87)
That, then means I only need 8 (95-87=8)additional points by way of skill tapes/armour attachments to "speed cap" the Pikeman profession -correct?
(assuming 95 is indeed the magic number that one needs to reach in order to ultimately speed cap)
Thanks in advance for your input/affirmation.

Yes, correct. However it should be noted that 95 speed applies to our slowest weapons (usually looted). At about 93, you'll cap at all crafted I believe (assuming the slowest crafted is a damage sliced LVA with a 4.5 speed)

If your server has had some really nice spawns, the best LVAs are 4.3AS (like Chili's), you can actually cap without any tapes. Master Brawler, Master Pikeman and FS Melee speed brings you to 92 speed, which will speed-cap a 4.3AS.

To be technical, with 92 speed a 4.3 speed weapon will hit at 1.03 on the slowest attacks. Not actually capped but so close you'd be unlikely to care.
4.4 would hit at 1.06 and 4.5 at 1.08, again speeds you probably wouldn't notice. Even a 6.5 speed weapon would only barely hit 1.5 seconds on the slowest attacks.
You're unlikely to even notice a difference between +92 and capped on anything but the very slowest weapons, and even that difference is inconsequential.

You stole my noob post.
Thanks, I think. Now I don't have to write another. I was wondering about this too, since TK is incredibly fast, but it makes much more sense now and I can't wait to finish grinding the prof.
