So maybe I don't PvP alot or something, but I know like TKMs and stuff use CoB macros constantly... I've been Master Pikeman since June 2004, and I never use Center of Being.
Should we as Pikemen being macroing CoB constantly in fights?
If so, what is a good CoB macro for a PikeMaster?
(this is not, as far as I can tell, in the FAQ, I did look before posting)

Hmmm... maybe it's just me... but I've never found CoB to be that useful.
Do I need Master Brawler for it be of any worth?

Yeah I use a center of being macro too. It makes a real difference in how many times you're hit.
Mine is basically ...
/center;
/pause 29; (you will have to play with this number, it seems just a bit different for everyone)
/macro cob;
And name it cob

Don't forget to put /ui action clearCombatQueue at either the beginning or end of your macro, or yourCenterofBeing will be stuck in the combat queue waiting to execute.

No it wont. It doesnt add to combat queue so best is to use without.

Looks like I'll have to go with the majority here.
5 say that CoB works, and use it.
2 say that it seems pretty useless, unless M Brawler is taken.
hmmm. I suppose I'll do a CoB macro tonight.

/center works like food in that it goes into the combat queue (although you can't see it) but is not removed when the queue is cleared. In other words if you have four specials queued up and you hit your /center key, you have to wait for the four specials to finish before you begin COBing BUT if you cleared the queue instead of waiting for those specials, you'd actually COB immediately. All of this means that if you don't clear the queue in your macro and you do spam a load of specials, you might suffer some /center downtime and/or throw off the timing of your macro. There's no need to clear the queue if you don't spam specials though.
Does /center work? Yes. It dramatically increases the chance that you will use your secondary defences, ie dodge, counterattack or - for Pikemen - block. However since block is inferior to the other two, in that it only prevents 50% of damage (the others avoid the attack completely), the usefulness of /center is harder for Pikemen to appreciate.
As an example I was driving around Dathomir the other day holding a gaffi stick and with COB running. when all of a sudden I see a Sith Shadow taskmaster uses Full Charge Shot on you for 3173 points of damage, but you evade it. If I hadn't been running COB I would have been dead. But if I had been holding my LVA I would also have been dead.

You won't physically see it in the combat queue, but it will not activate if there are actions in the combat queue.
