Ok, I know that sounds like a childish question, but this is a game afterall, for fun, and I actually care a lot about how my character looks.
I was thikning about moving over to the pikemen path recently, but I was wondering if any of their style moves were as impressive looking as unarmed or the other melee's. I've see the unamered hit 1, leg hit and unarmed stun so far.... and they haven't been that special. But that's ok if later on there is some really great stuff.
So what's it like ?

Yes!
This is one of the best things about pikemen, I think. The attack animations actually look reasonably close to how you might wield a staff. You thrust and slash and spin, and use both ends of the weapon effectively. It's much nicer looking than, say stabbing someone with a two-handed axe, or doing a spin move with a dinky sword.
However, the animations don't look nearly as nearly as nice when you're wielding a lance, since you hold it on the end instead of the in the middle.

Heheh... hmm... this worries me.
I'm not sure if I want "reasonable close" to realism or not. Do you consider TK's special moves close to realism or no? They look amazing, but I'm not sure if they qualify as realistic.
In this sci-fantasy game, I want amazing, kung-fu worthy, crouching-selwynn hidden-pikemen, AMAZING moves. In other worrds, I want them to be flashy like TK's and others more thna I want them to be "realistic."

Great!! now that's a problem I'm willing to have hehe...
Since I'm going TK with another character, I think this one will definately go stick.

I think they look real, there are 2 that I think are too long. I posted about it in another thread. The Whirlwind at the top of offense looks quite good with a Vibro Axe and quite dumb with a Lance.

I agree, the styles look good. Better with vibro axe, however.
