Thread: Boys with guns
Idon't want a gun....I don't want a gun....everyone, including dancers (as they dance) has a gun...I don't want a gun....
I do, however have an observation and a question or two.
Last night, while grouped at Fort Tusken, I was the only melee fighter. When approaching a room, everyone stood outside and started shooting. I, however, had to wade into the middle of the room to get close enough to hit anyone. Well, all by myself in the middle of raiders is not the place to be. I have read posts here from various pikemen singing the virtues of new tactics, and better skill use. Well, its crap. None of the ranged characters need to get anywhere near their targets, just me and my whiffy axe. (I agree with a previous poster, I would also like a really cool miss sound. Give me something to do as I stare up at the ceiling.) Perhaps I could have used by lunge to save myself, or maybe a nice warcry would have turned the tide. Sure, I could have sat in the Cantina and avoided the problem altogether. The point is, pikemen are now useless. I have a GSP that I have to use to live longer than a minute, and I feel like the little dog from the cartoons with the big bulldog buddy. "Now Spike! Can I hit him now Spike!"
Now my questions for any gun guys, or people in the know...
Do the gun fighters have to be within a meter or so of their target to use a knockdown like pistol whip? If they can do it from 30m away, I will be sick.
Would any of the gun fighters accept it if their highest available weapon had a -50 as its range modifier? "Hey Bob, just got the new TK98-2 Mk IV, boy is it cool! Misses 4 out of 5 time, and drains me to nothing, but man is it shiny!" I'm sure Kam would be making even more money then!
Also, as a side note...while grouped with bounty hunters, I've noticed they have some new toys. Don't know the stats, but they seemed to be able to wipe out very high end Tuskens with one or two shots. Yah for them, but come on....
Axe for sale...misses 4 out of 5 times...but man is it shiney!
