Thread: Pikemen doing same dmg per swing as TK's but 4 times slower? (pvp)
I ran some extensive tests with a friend / guildmate of mine.
I am a master pikeman, he is a master tk.
I used a long vibro axe which was 520 max dmg 4.1 speed.
He used a vibro knuckler (though I do not have his exact stats of it here).
Neither of us were wearing armor.
First we ran non styled duels, meaning we did not use ANY styles at all in order to test our weapons base damage.
I consistantly hit for approximatly 96 dmg, he consistantly hit me for 94 dmg but about 4 times for every 1 of my swings. When styles came into play I literally did more damage to myself then to my opponent topping out at a magnificent 250 dmg, average was 142 dmg. His max hit on me was for 380.
So my question is this, why are we doing less damage per "swing" then tka's? If a tk hits me 4 times for 100 dmg in the same amount of time it takes me to hit him once, should I not be doing around 400 dmg in that one swing?
Someone seriously screwed us over in pvp because by the looks of things this is way larger then a "75% reduction to dmg". I often hit npc's for upwards of 3,000 (my highest hit being 10,500 to a proned npc using a rifle) dmg + taking into account this supposed 75% reduction I should STILL be hitting players for up to 750 dmg, which I am not. Sadly, I am far from hitting this hard in pvp.
Whats the deal with reducing us to the same dmg per swing as TK's when we swing 4 times slower?
