I am a pikeman at 0.0.1.1 and i use a VL and i fight a 0.0.3.2 TK a lot and he owns me...every single time...mostly because i miss him maybe 2 out of the 3 times i try to hit him, i keep telling me its going to get better, but really is it worth going to master? O_o

worth it to me isn't the same as alot of people

to me if its fun and i have fun doing it then its worth it, pikeman is a very fun class, dont expect to step toe to toe with tka i mean it just doesnt happen, in pvp we are the worst melee overall, plain and simple, doesnt mean it isnt a good class or 'worth it'

Don't even try PvP. Unless maybe your taking on an image designer, or maybe a chef. PvE we have some good crowd control abilities if you play your moves out right. I enjoy it, as well as most of the ppl that post here, but, the only thing I 'own' is a small home and a speederbike.

Switch to a normal lance.. you'll feel a lot better about yourself.

Yes its worth it. Get some good kenetic resist armor and you can be a serious TANK. I can solo 3 Squil Guardians and not even go down once. I love it, I will have to drop it if I want to continue down the jedi quest path but as aalmost master pikeman it is by farthe funest melee class. I have a TKM and I dont play him near as much as the pikeman. We just need more weapons.

yes it's worth it

as soon as you get 2-0-0-2 you will see a HUGE speed increase and with the +30 to accuracy you will start to connect much much more than you miss.

My advice is to go up the speed discipline first. (stances IV) to get the +30 speed which will put you as close to the speed cap as you're gonna get until master.
